Why You Should Donate to Guerrilla Blog

Dear Reader,

Why should you donate to Guerrilla Blog? Because right now I publish this blog as a labor of love, but with enough support I could publish this blog as more than that. At the moment I make ends meet with a day job and through freelance reporting. That means I work on this blog when I’m not working, reporting, or going to class. I do research late at night, on weekends, and during other free time. But, with reader donations I would be able to devote more time to original reporting and research for Guerrilla Blog.

What would more reader donations mean for Guerrilla Blog? With reader support I would be able to devote more time to the blog. This means publishing much more content. This means much more original reporting and research. This also means more time devoted to reading through government contracts, government issued solicitations, and campaign finance reports. I would be able to uncover more connections between the defense industry and our Congressional representatives within the military-industrial complex.

How much in donations would you need? If each one of Guerrilla Blog’s Twitter followers donated $1 a month that would be more than enough for me to turn the blog from a labor of love into a fulltime endeavor. What would the donations be used for? Initially they would be used for compensation and living expenses. However, donations would also be put back into the blog to pay for different features to better connect with readers. What about transparency? I will publish a complete list of donations and donors (that wish to be identified) each month. Any blog related expenses will also be itemized.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by Guerrilla Blog – which will always be fully funded by readers like you. Never from corporate donors, advertising, or subscriptions. Donate to Guerrilla Blog here and join this list of supporters.
